The popularity of Leonard's Bakery is huge so I had to try their Malasada to find out how good they are, and they didn't disappoint. So light and fluffy texture and just delicious. Highly recommended!

The best malasadas that you can buy in Hawaii! This is a legendary spot to taste the the best malasadas you'll ever have! It's always crowded. The customer service is great and everything is always hand-delivered fresh to you. When you take a bite it literally melts in your mouth. They have a variety of selections with different feelings you can choose from, or you can get the original with no filling. The choice is yours, they also have cold coffees that are really good. This is a dessert that you must try while you're in Hawaii! World famous Leonard's!

Leonard’s Bakery is a must try when you're in Hawai’i! Their special pastry dough is fried to perfection — light and fluffy. . When we first arrived, the crowd was pretty intense, and we thought the wait might take forever, but it turned out to be pretty quick. I was able to order right away since everyone was just waiting for their food. There’s no seating inside—it's mainly a to-go spot. I ordered two malasadas, one with cinnamon sugar and another filled with guava. I also ordered a Portuguese sausage wrap and an iced coffee. It took about 15 minutes for our food, which was pretty fast! My husband and I loved the malasadas and the sausage wrap. The iced coffee wasn't really my favorite, but overall, everything else was great. If you're in Hawai’i, make sure to check them out!

When visiting Oahu, several locals told me, “You can’t leave the island without trying Leonard’s Bakery!” — and wow, they were 100% right. This place truly lives up to the hype. From the moment you pull up and see the iconic pink boxes and the line of people waiting outside, you know you’re in for something special. I ordered a few different malasadas to try — plain, chocolate, and guava — and every single one was incredible. But my absolute favorites were the chocolate and guava! The chocolate was rich and smooth inside that perfectly golden, pillowy dough, while the guava had the most delicious tropical tang that made it so unique. You can tell they’re made fresh to order — warm, airy, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. Yes, the line can be long and parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the staff keeps things moving, and the sweet smell coming from the kitchen makes the wait totally worth it. My biggest tip: eat them while they’re hot and fresh — that first bite is pure heaven! Leonard’s is one of those must-visit spots that completely lives up to its legendary reputation. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning fan, these malasadas are a little piece of Hawaiian magic you’ll be dreaming about long after your trip ends. Don’t miss it!

Absolutely fantastic malasadas that.... dare I say... are among the best filled donuts I've had? They're fried fresh when you prefer which makes sense considering the line of people always waiting. The dough is not the type of super light, wonderbread level airy, but it has an awesome level of chew that contrasts with the crispy exterior. Neither the filling nor the dough itself is overly sweet and that's just plain awesome. One thing is that I would recommend most of the other fillings other than chocolate. The chocolate one is similar to a Jell-O chocolate pudding and isn't for everyone. Macadamia nut filling takes the win for me.

Well get in line. I thought they were giving something away... Haha. They had a very steady line but kept it moving. We ordered a variety of pastries and they were good. The chocolate seemed to be not so sweet but this may be intentional since there is sugar on the outside. If you enjoy fresh hot filled doughnuts.... Get in line.

The famous malasadas bakery in Oahu lives up to the hype! Tried the custard, original, macadamia, and haupia malasadas — loved the haupia one the most. The bakery is always busy, and parking is very tight, so plan ahead. Not usually a big malasada fan, but this place is worth a try!

This famous bakery serves the most delicious malasadas! This little spot has been around since 1952 and has never changed its method of making their incredible Portuguese style donuts. Even if the line seems long, it moves quickly and is worth trying if it’s you’re first time in Honolulu. We tried the custard, chocolate, coconut, and guava fillings. My favorites were the custard and guava, but all the donuts were fried to perfection and filled with creamy goodness. Definitely do not miss Leonard’s during your stay in Oahu!
